Mortgage Release (Discharge)
This service allows the removal of a registered mortgage from a property once the loan has been fully settled. The bank issues a formal release letter confirming the debt is cleared, and the mortgage is lifted from the Title Deed at the Trustee office.
What you need to bring
- Original Title Deed
- Mortgage Release Letter from the bank (mortgagee)
- Owner's passport and Emirates ID (for verification)
- Power of Attorney + POA holder's passport and Emirates ID (if applicable)
What it costs
DLD fees — Normal Mortgage (Total: AED 1,290)
- AED 1,000 mortgage removal fee
- AED 250 new Title Deed issuance fee
- AED 10 knowledge fee
- AED 10 innovation fee (AED 20 if two drawings apply)
DLD fees — Ejara Mortgage
- Total: AED 1,560
Trustee fee
- AED 315
Total cost
- Normal Mortgage: AED 1,605
- Ejara Mortgage: AED 1,875
